Speed Limits out West

In the east there are signs on the roads at corners that suggest safe speeds to round the corner.  Generally, they are conservative.  I generally think they can be doubled.  If a sign suggests a 25 mph speed, you can safely do 50 mph.  Not the same out west.  They are very realistic, and should use the caveat "if you are careful."

Try taking this corner at 120 mph
Or this one at 140 mph

In New Mexico, the standard highway speed is 80.
